Some people say that traffic from your articles diminishes after a while. Is that really the truth? Well, let's take a closer look at that argument.
The traffic from your work does seem to get lesser, but it's the traffic 'settling down'.
Let me explain:
When you post an article and get 50 views for it in 3 days, that 50 views will form maybe 20% of the total views that article is going to get for the next 2 years or so. So in 3 days, you get 50 views, and in 2 years you get maybe 200+ views for that article (that's the worst case scenario, an article can easily get 500+ page views after 2 years).
3 days => 50 views 2 years => 200+ views
So in 3 days, you get 1/4 of the amount of views your article will get in the next 2 years. That does seem like your traffic dropping off. BUT, if you consistently add in new articles, this is what happens:
Let's say you submit 50 articles in one day.
All 50 articles get an average of 20 page views in 3 days. The total => 1000 article views
After 2 years => those 50 articles get a total 10000 page views (assuming an average of 200 page views per article)
Again, the initial traffic seems disproportionate and it does seem like your traffic is dropping off.
However, that's not the case if you do article marketing in bulk and submit to article directories consistently.
I'd suggest hiring a writer to write your articles for you, and as well as doing that, write some articles every day or every week. This is a double-pronged approach that will get more content out there for you generating traffic.

Customers are humans too!
And all people deserve to feel appreciated when they do something for another. Sending you business that costs you little to nothing to acquire should trigger a flood of grateful feelings in you so show it!
"Referrals inherently possess 6 powerful characteristics that make it one of your best marketing strategies." Referrals are
- High trust
- Low Sales Resistance
- Low Effort
- High Leverage (once systemized)
- Low Cost
- High Return on Investment
The downside is very few businesses have formalized, systemized referral generation programs that their business can duplicate again and again. This leaves a massive hole in their bottom line profit and marketing arsenal. As a result, it increases uncertainty and stress levels. Is this you? If so, you need to organize your first systematic referral process. To achieve this you need to satisfy 4 steps. 1. Make it work 2. Reward those who refer 3. Systemize it 4. Duplicate it
Step 1 - Make it Work
Your first and most obvious task it to produce a referral system that actually brings in referrals. In many cases, you may find you already get referrals in a haphazard way. I would start with this one. Because it already satisfies step 1 and now you just need to reward, systemize and duplicate.
I will tackle each step with you one by one, but first its worth understanding the process. In all your marketing efforts, you should always start by improving things you already do before you ever seek to introduce some brand new strategy.
Next, understand that you can and SHOULD have multiple referral systems. One idea should not replace another but ADD to it. If you develop a second method of profitable referral generation, you dont drop the existing one because you found something better. You run with as many profitable, systemized methods for bringing you business as you can.
Now some people will instantly think, Thats going to be a lot of work. Get that I must do it myself attitude out of your head because when you have multiple, systemized methods for bringing you business, you will have the money to have other people perform the monotonous tasks of tracking, testing and implementing as you need.
All you need to do for now is follow the above 4 steps and you will have multiple low cost, high return on investment referral streams flowing constant leads into your business.
In Part 2, I am going to share with you a method I used to get 63 referrals from one appointment.
Until then...

Making Money with Your Blog!
A place for finding the Nuts and Bolts for Making Money Online with Affiliate Marketing Business Opportunity!
If you would like to succeed in internet marketing and be able to make a mark quickly, you should use article marketing as your product and website promotional tool. This marketing technique is cost-effective and hassle-free but it is proven to drive quality traffic to your website and help you position yourself as an expert on your chosen niche.
Here are the 4 nifty steps to excel at article marketing:
1. To obtain more quality inbound links for your website and to strengthen your online presence, you must be willing to augment the number of your articles. If you are just starting out and do not have the money to spare on ghostwriters, you can just extend your writing hours or stay focused so you can be more productive.
2. To easily grab the attention of online users and convince them to open and read your articles, I suggest that you use compelling and striking titles. It would also greatly help if you can communicate the readers' benefits so people will instantly know what's in it for them and why should they invest their time on reading your content.
3. Give your potential clients great reading experience by making your articles interesting to read and engaging. This can easily be done by writing in a conversational tone and connecting your readers to your content by asking them relevant questions once in a while or writing about personal stories that they can relate to.
4. Write to inform. To easily earn the trust of your readers, fill your articles with valuable information that they will find useful and relevant to their areas of interest. Make them feel that you are an expert on your chosen niche who has the answers to their questions and solutions to their problems.

Three Things You Must Do Before You Submit To Article Directories
To all writers and non-writers out there, now is the time to start digging up those creative writing skills. With modern communication technology comes the popularity of information-based marketing, which is one of the oldest and most effective techniques in getting targeted prospects to sites and converting them into buyers. This is
As a zero-cost, exposure-rich way to get your site noticed on the Internet, article marketing is hard to beat. After all, what other method lets you tell people about things that interest them, put your link into other large sites for free and virally spread the word about what an expert you are - for free?
The techniques are simple and well within reach. In fact, effective article marketing means keeping away from sophisticated literary styles. You are communicating with people who want good, clean information that's easy to digest and quick to read. It's as though you were explaining something to a friend. When you write your article, imagine that person to be in front of you and write your article so that they can immediately understand what you are talking about.
Although the techniques are simple, there are some basic rules to be observed. First of all you do need to write correctly. If you have doubts about your ability here, take heart. There are ways to get around this (notably, write short, simple sentences that have a good "flow") and tools to help as well. If you are using a text editor like Microsoft Word, then use the built-in spelling and grammar checker. In fact do this even if you have supreme confidence in your ability to write. It's extraordinary what errors can go unnoticed because you are re-reading the text that you wrote yourself. The checker will find these for you.
In addition to this, a number of article sites, focusing on quality articles, include basic spell checking as a possibility in the submission procedure. Note that quality for them means the same thing as indicated above: articles that are of interest to their readers and that bring them clear, relevant information in an easy to digest way.
Your choice of article sites will be important as well. Some of them are very big and well represented in the search engines. On the other hand, it may be more difficult to get your articles authorized for inclusion. You'll want to write a series of articles in any case to get into the swing of it and to test on various sites. Submit your articles and keep track of how quickly they get included, what the click rate is (how may people reading your article) and how well your articles get rated in search engines, especially for keywords that interest you. Then compare and focus on the article sites that are getting you the best results.
Article sites also have guidelines on length of articles. In fact, make that "restrictions" rather than "guidelines". When you read their submission procedure, you will typically see how they want articles to be submitted. For the length, 250 words is a minimum, 500 words is more in favor. But don't make your article too long either. If you find that you have a lot to say, then chop your article up into 500 word chunks, each chunk dealing with one aspect of the topic. That way you'll be able to submit multiple articles as well and benefit from multiple exposures.
Next on the list is the resource box that is also a feature of many article directories. This is where (and it is the only place) you get to sell. Do not sell in the main text of your article. Inform, entertain, question if you like, but avoid the sales pitch. Editors will often refuse articles that come on too strong on the sales side, and even if they make it through, readers will lose interest fast. After all, their goal in reading is not (yet) to buy. Warm up the discussion by degrees. Give them good information that encourages them to get to the bottom of the article and to click on your link to then go to the next phase of "pre-selling" or possibly a sign-up page for a newsletter, a product or a service.
Have some fun with the resource box if you like. Apply some of the classics to grab people's interest, like spiking their curiosity, using appropriate humor or appealing to their instincts of greed or fear. That's what will incite them to click on and go to your site, to make your article marketing a success.

Successful article marketing requires you to create a resource box that brings the reader back to your web site or blog.
The problem is many people make some common mistakes. So here is what not to do in your resource box and what a resource box is not.
A resource box is not
It is not a virtual ego wall - Many people treat it this way. They want to tell all about themselves and all about all their accomplishments. An ego wall is that thing in somebody's office where they have all their diplomas and their pictures of famous people.
A virtual ego wall is an ego wall online. People turn the resource box into a virtual ego wall, which leads then to our next point.
It is not all about you - When I teach resource box crafting, it has to pass the 'who cares' test. It's not all about you. It's about the reader and what other benefit they can get.
It is not something that you rush through - What a lot of people do is they go over to the article directories and they put in their keywords and they put in their title and their description and then they put in their article body, and they're down to the resource box and they're tired and they want out of there. So they just throw something together to get it done.
This is not something to rush through. If you do everything else in your article well - it's titled well, described well, written well, people are knowing you, liking you, trusting you, wanting more from you - and you blow the resource box, you've wasted your entire time because the resource box is how you get them back to your website.
So get this wrong, you've wasted your time. Get this right and you've got it made!

I have decided to read all the articles in the article marketing category and create a top 10 list. One thing that really stands out, as I read through the articles, profiles, and click the links, is how much we can learn about the author by his or her profile and the articles that they write. Even their links tell us a little about them.
I came across a website today that I found from an article, and it was for a site that sold cubic zirconia jewelry. The host on the site said that she use to be under the employ of Play Boy. I thought it was funny how her looks, her previous experience, and her current business venture seem to follow a common theme.
After reading a few more articles, a few more profiles, and clicking on a few more links, I realized that many of the packages put together in this process, paint an interesting picture of the different authors. Of course that opens up the question, what does your profile, articles, and links tell about you?
I know for me, it is a work in progress. I am sure for all of us it is to some degree. I would have to say that finding just the right formula for the three parts has been a lot harder than I thought. I have observed from my reading, that is it easier for some, and harder for others.
I will say that it is usually pretty easy to identify who the pretenders are and who the real professionals are. If you are still looking for the right combination for your business, don't give up.
I have found that writing articles is the best way for me to keep polishing my stone. Every once in a while, I see an increase in my number of views, or in my click thoughts, and I think, that's progress, I just need to keep learning and writing.
Just so you know it is normal when you start to get visitors in the tens. As you progress, you will start to get them in the 100's. One day you will start to get visitors in the thousands. This is where the game begins. Not only will you start to make some money, but you are one step away from big things.
I don't like the fact that people seldom share real numbers. This makes it hard for beginners because they don't know when what they are doing is good and what is great. I hope you find this information helpful.

BBC NEWS breaks search engine sp*m news, while this story has been making the rounds of SEO/SEM forums and newsletters for the past couple of days, since Matt Cutts posted about it in his SEO blog on February 4th:
http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/ramping-up-on-international-webspam/
... at first there was little international press (and none in the US) on the issue, but the BBC story has started a landslide of news and commentary on search engine sp*m by major corporations. It is also likely to brand all SEO's universally as bad guy Black Hat SEO's and ignore the good guy White Hats. Legitimate techniques and resulting ranking improvements rarely gain the attention given the bad guys.
I've reported major Fortune 500 corporations for sp*mming through the Google sp*m reporting link a half dozen times over the past year and am happy to see actions being taken against the worst offenders.
http://www.google.com/contact/spamreport.html
BMW Germany targeting the term "Used Cars" on it's new car site using javascript redirects is a blatant abuse of doorway pages and cloaking for inappropriate search phrases.
Cutts shows screen captures of the BMW offense, but mentions only peripherally that Ricoh.de would be banned as well, then sends a direct message to a separate US automaker at the end of his sp*mming post, telling them that they'll be re-included following a 30 day ban for similar offenses they've apparently cleaned up from their European site.
Search engine sp*mming is certainly not limited to Europe, although one of my complaints to the Google sp*m reporting link is for a European company site, which 5 months after reporting, STILL ranks #1 for a highly competitive phrase in US results. They use different search engine sp*mming techniques employing invisible code full of links, H1 tags and keyword phrases which are intended for surfers with javascript turned off - the < noscript> tag. Search engines see this invisible text, while surfers don't as it is buried in the HTML code.
The home page of one site I reported for sp*mming is made up entirely of images and has no hope of ranking well for any search phrase from the home page due to complete lack of text, so they may feel justified in using < noscript> tags to rank for an admittedly appropriate search phrase, by using a technique recognized as search engine sp*mming. When any large corporation sees fit to use sp*mming techniques, it encourages EVERYONE to do the same, simply because they feel justified for whatever reason suits them, reasonable or not.
This lesser known technique, filling < noscript> tags with H1, tags, keyword phrase hypertext links, and invisible text within tags, is effective and is used by many sp*mmers. I believe that smaller offenders would be instantly banned if this were discovered in use on their site, even if they were using appropriate keyword phrases for their topic or site subject. The big boys should be penalized as well.
I'll feel better when ALL search engine sp*mming techniques are penalized equally, regardless of the technique used or terms targeted, or any rationalized justifications. When that happens universally, then sp*mmers will stop sp*mming the search engines. But not until then.
This BMW case has become high profile for a major offense and is likely to gain attention in hurriedly called meetings in boardrooms of major corporations, with webmasters and marketing departments in attendance. "Are we doing this!" CEO's will rage at befuddled webmasters or in-house SEO's. But until ALL methods of search sp*m are penalized publicly, those lesser offenses will continue at all levels - especially large companies with more to gain (when they get away with sp*mming) and to lose (when they get caught and exposed/banned).

Making Money with Your Blog!
A place for finding the Nuts
and Bolts for Making Money Online with Affiliate Marketing Business Opportunity!
There is an incredible amount of hype about how to make money online. It can be very distracting and you can easily fall into the information overload trap and spend too much time and money learning how best to do business online. So how do you beat this trap especially if you are new to online business or web marketing? Woulden't it be good if there was an easy, practical and systematic way to think about how best to do business online?
As a Web Architect I have grappled with this problem many times and I have found that there is one simple way to look at doing business online that really helps me to focus in on what is important for my business. The key is to look at your online business as a set of processes that need to be structured correctly in order for your business to be profitable. This has two immediate benefits:
- first it gives you a way to think about your business, and
- second it acts as blueprint or checklist of what you need to focus in on to be profitable
I use a six process model when setting up an online business. Examples of these processes are Acquire Products and Website Promotion. With this model I can be sure that there is nothing major that I have left out and I can then focus on the processes that add the most value to my business.
Another important aspect of this approach is measurement. As a business owner you need to know how your business is performing so you will put in place ways to measure how each of your processes is performing. For example lets say that you use Google Analytics or Statcounter to measure the number of visitors to your website. If you are not getting the amount of qualified traffic you need to make a profit then you need to focus in on the Website Promotion process. This may mean that you re-evaluate the keywords you are using or that you need to look at alternative ways to promote your business and so on.
I hope that this short article has given you a flavour of how a simple way of thinking about your business can help you to improve it. I have coined the term Web Business Architecture to describe this approach because what you are really doing is architecting your web business for success.
